2 is one solution of the equation x²+3x+k=7 where k is a constant. What is the other solution?

(1) 5
(2) –3
(3) 4
(4) –5
(5) 3

If 2 is one of the solutions, then when x = 2, the equation will be valid.

2^2 + 3*2 + k = 7 or k = -3.

The quadratic equation will be x^2 + 3x - 10 = 0. factors will be -5 and +2.
