A square lawn in front of a house is of 40 feet diagonal. What is the perimeter of the lawn in feet? (round off 0.5 ft and above to 1 foot).
(1) 84
(2) 121
(3) 113
(4) 96

The answer is choice 3 - 113 units.
Diagonal = a * Sqrt 2 = 40
Therefore, a = 20 * sqrt 2
Perimeter = 4a = 80 * sqrt 2 => 80 * 1.4 = 112 units...approx. to choice 3. |
