The equation x = 2y - 5 defines a line in the xy - coordinate system and (p, q) & (p+2, q+c) are two points on the line. What is the value of c?
(1) 2
(2) 2/5
(3) 7
(4) 3
(5) 1 |

The value of C is '1', choice 5.
This is obtained by substituting the tow points in the equation of the line, thereby forming two equations in x,y and c and solving them simultaneously. |
