The Celsius and Fahrenheit measures of temperature are related by the formula F = (9C/5) + 32. At what temperature is C = F?
(1) -40 deg
(2) -20 deg
(3) 0 deg
(4) 32 deg

The answer is 1 , -40 deg.
F = 1.8 * C + 30
=> C = 1.8 * C + 32 (Since C = F)
=> 0.8 C = -32
=> C = -40 deg. |
