Hi,
I've been working for a year now as a software engineer. I want to pursue my MBA in US. How good are my chances of making to the top 20, with my low work exp? [i shall be having 2 yr work exp by aug 2006] I plan to make it by fall 2006. I've not yet taken GMAT. but preparing for it. How many months of preparation would you people suggest, considering that i have to make time after work.

when would be the latest by which i can take the GMAT?

Hey,

If you want to make it in the top 20, i would suggest taking a bit more work experience, and in the meantime preparing for the gmat...

The average age in sloan school of business [MIT] of an MBA student is 28 years....so most poeple over there have like 5-6 years of experience before they apply....

Keep in mind poeple from all over the world with much more work experience will be applying for the top 20. So a great gmat score is cruicial, which will require extensive preperation, and given your job, it will require a bit more time.

I hope i helped...
