Question

What is the equation of a circle of radius 6 units centered at (3, 2)?
x^2 + y^2 + 6x – 4y = 23
x^2 + y^2 - 6x + 4y = 23
x^2 + y^2 + 6x + 4y = 23
x^2 + y^2 - 6x – 4y = - 23
x^2 + y^2 - 6x – 4y = 23

For a circle with center (a, b) and radius r, the equation is (x-a)^2 + (y-b)^2 = r^2.

In this case, (x - 3)^2 + (y - 2)^2 = 6^2

Simplifying, x^2 + y^2 - 6x -4y = 23
